RESILIENCE
A much needed attitude as a way forward
in today's world.

The definition of Resilience is the capacity to live through or recover from difficulties or tough situations. Resilient people learn to withstand adversity and use it as a learning tool. They tap into their strengths and support systems to overcome. Resilient people can still be grieving, hurting people but they have learnt to move forward.

There are four ways to develop resilience. These are to know that challenges, and suffering are normal for everyone. Resilient people intentionally focus on what they can change. They emphasise the good things in a bad situation, to focus on what they have, not what they lost. Ask the question; 'What I am doing right now, does this help me or harm me?' This question guides you to respond appropriately to develop good mental health. Last reason is to know God, know you can Lament to GOD at any time. He is with you always.

Laments
A PRAYER FOR OUR TIMES.

Lately Covid and all the challenges created by the uncertainties are making us feel more negative feelings than positive ones. GOD has given us a Biblical tool to help in times like these. LAMENTS! This is a powerful way to pray to GOD in faith and trust where we can express our pain and frustrations. There are 67 Laments in the Psalms and Psalm 13 is an example of one.

To Lament is to find a way to communicate honestly with GOD using different methods such as words, songs, drawing or dancing. We can do this as an individual or in a group. Further information is given in the accompanying document on this website for you to open and follow. Cry to our Father GOD for help and find His peace.
