We know it’s a big step of faith to visit a new place – so we want to make it easy for you to find your way. We want you to have an idea of what to expect when you arrive. Our church consists of people of all ages but we have a lot of families and young adults. Children are a big part of our family and our teachers are passionate in teaching the next generation.
At Alight Kidz, we seek to introduce Jesus to children in a safe and engaging environment. Together, we explore important truths and stories from God's Word and what a relationship with Jesus could look like. We are also passionate about empowering children to love and serve others.
Parents will be required to register and check-in their children at the church office prior to the service to join in with our kids program. Check-in will be open from 3.45-4.15pm for Saturday service and 9.45-10.15am for Sunday service. Children will join the adult congregation for family worship, and the Alight Kidz program will begin following worship. The program will run for around 50 mins and parents will need to check-out their children from the separate classrooms immediately following the service.
Your child’s safety and learning are our first priority. It is our desire to create a fun, engaging, and safe environment for your kids.
Here are some policies and procedures we have put in place to help ensure your child’s safety and care.
We discourage parents from allowing their children to bring their own toys (including phones or tablets) into class with them, as it is easy for them to be misplaced or forgotten. The toys might also distract them and other children from learning.
All our volunteers have a valid Working-with-Children Check. Parents are also required to check-in and check-out their children from the program. Parents must quote the unique session number in order to check-out their children, ensuring that children are released to the supervision of the parent or trusted guardian who brought them to church.
If your child has additional needs (or allergies), we still want them to come and enjoy learning about God with other children. Please speak with our Alight Kidz leaders so that we can determine the best way to serve your child. We also have a member care team who would love to support and journey with your family as you look to settle your child.
Children who show signs or symptoms of fever or any other contagious disease should be resting at home to prevent other children from being infected.
