At LifeGate Church, we give generously as a response to God’s generous gifts, not a way to earn God’s gifts. We love God and others through our generosity because God first showed us what love is by giving His Son Jesus as a ransom for all of us. It is indeed a blessing itself to be able to give, and God has blessed you so you can be a conduit of blessing to others.
We believe giving impassions you towards the mission of God here in Melbourne and the rest of the world. Your generosity through LifeGate has already made an impact in growing disciples within the church, and the preaching of the gospel in the community and around the world, and we want to thank you for it. But there is much more to be done.
2 Corinthians 9:7-8 gives some instructions on how to give, and the impact thereof:
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
Keep investing in the mission of God, because that’s what God wants you to do.
