Day 6: Saturday

The Harvest of the Servant

  • 10 Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,

        and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,

    he will see his offspring and prolong his days,

        and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.

    11 After he has suffered,

        he will see the light of life and be satisfied;

    by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,

        and he will bear their iniquities.

  • It is the day before Easter. The Servant has suffered, and the world is waiting in the silence of the tomb. But Isaiah promises a breakthrough: "He will see the light of life." Because of His sacrifice, "many" will be justified. Tomorrow morning, people who do not yet know Jesus will walk through the doors of LifeGate Church. They are the "harvest" of the Servant's suffering.

    Today, we stand in the gap for them, praying that the seeds of invitation planted this week would burst into eternal life.

    • Spend some time in deep intercession for tomorrow’s service.

    • Pray for everyone who walks through our doors, and for every seat in the sanctuary—that the person sitting there would experience a "breakthrough" from death to life.
