Day 3: Wednesday
The Tongue of Salvation
-
4 The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue,
to know the word that sustains the weary.
He wakens me morning by morning,
wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.
5 The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears;
I have not been rebellious,
I have not turned away.
-
Fear of “saying the wrong thing” often holds us back from sharing our faith. Yet Scripture points to a different approach: a “well-instructed tongue” that sustains the weary. Many carry the quiet weight of pressure and exhaustion, and what they often need is not a complex theological debate, but a word of grace that gives them breath. God wants to wake you up today with a specific word for someone else’s breakthrough—a word that reminds them they are seen and loved.
-
Ask: "Lord, who in my life is weary today?" Listen for a name.
Ask Him for a simple, graceful word you can share with them—perhaps a message of encouragement or a simple "I'm thinking of you."
